Statement of Faith

Section 1.01 - The Holy Bible

A. We believe that every word of the original autographs consisting of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments (with no Apocrypha) was given by inspiration of the Holy Ghost to holy men of God and is complete, inerrant, and infallible. At the same time, God's choice of words reflected the personalities of the prophets and apostles in literary style and vocabulary (2 Timothy 3:16, and

2 Peter 1:21-22).

B.  The doctrine of inspiration is of little value apart from the doctrine of the preservation of God's "words" (Psalms 12:6-7). No one living today holds or has ever seen the original autographs, the Bible

we believe to be preserved by God as indicated in Scripture is the King James 1611 Authorized Version. We believe the King James Version to be the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

C. The Word of God is eternally existent (Psalms 119:89, 1 Peter 1:23-25).

Section 1.02 - The Holy Trinity

A.  There are three persons in the godhead but they are one God as clearly taught in the New Testament (1 John 5:7, John 14:16, Matthew 3:16-17).

B.  The Trinity consists of the Father, who is God (Romans 1:7), the Son who is God (Hebrews 1:8, Titus 2:13), and the Holy Spirit who is God (Acts 5:3-4).

Section 1.03 - The Lord Jesus Christ

A.  As is title given to the second person of the Trinity in the Holy Scriptures, His position is Lord, His name is Jesus (Matthew 1:21), and He is the Christ or Anointed.

B. That Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin; and was God in the flesh. (John 1:14) He was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (John 8:46) and as the perfect Lamb of God gave Himself in death upon the cross of Calvary for the sins of the world.

C.  That He was crucified, buried and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:4), ascended into heaven (Acts 1:1-11), is our High Priest and intercessor (Hebrews 5:1-10, 9:24), and will return to rule and reign on earth for one thousand years as indicated in the Holy Scriptures.

Section 1.04 - Salvation

A. We are saved by Grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:4-9, Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9-13), it is by faith (Galatians 3:22-23) it is through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:14, Romans 5:9).

B. Salvation is a spiritual birth required for sinful man, born in the image of Adam, to be "born again" wherein the Holy Spirit of God quickens (makes alive) a man, woman, or child spiritually upon acceptance of the salvation God has provided through the Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:1, and John 3:1-17). This acceptance is based upon the individual free will of man, with the understanding that God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9)

Section 1.05 - Purpose of the Church

A.  To glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Psalms 29:2, 72:19, Revelation 15:4

B.  To Magnify the Word of God.  Psalm 138:2

C.  This is to be done by the preaching and teaching of the Word of God in order that souls may be saved, and believers might be edified and equipped for the ministry, so they might obey, defend, and study the Holy Bible, and carry out the concept of the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-19 until the Lord Jesus Christ returns.
